Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML plans to invest $324M in a 250,000 sqft R&D facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. Arizona is leading US chip manufacturing investment by a huge margin with another $40 billion from TSMC earlier this year.
Another AI startup ripping out of stealth mode. Liquid AI raised $37.5M Seed at a staggering $303M post-money valuation. Liquid AI comes out of MIT’s CSAIL, here is the founders research group.
Also from Boston, De-Ice has developed a GaN-based RF heating system which can de-ice aircraft without the use of chemicals. They have launched an exciting pilot program with Air Canada.
Darkhive raised a $4M seed round. The company is developing a tactical FPV drone. Crosslink Capital led, Stellar Ventures, MVP Ventures, and Capital Factory invested.
Ursa Major, raised $138M Series D for their solid rocket motor line Lynx, based in Bermouth, Colorado. Lynx can produce solid propulsion motors for numerous guided rocket systems.
